REPL Group Announces US Expansion Plans
Retail IT consulting and technology firm REPL Group has announced a 57% growth in US business over the past 12 months and has revealed plans to create 50 jobs in Dallas, Texas and across the USA.
The global firm which specializes in providing workforce management, supply chain, point of sale, in-store digital, employee enablement and forecasting technology to retailers such as Walmart, announced £22.6 million in gross turnover for its latest financial year, representing a 40% increase on the previous 12 months.
Mike Callender, Executive Chairman of REPL Group, said: “The expansion of the consulting and digital side of the business have been key contributors to helping REPL grow. In current market conditions, some retailers are really struggling while a proportion are showing rapid expansion. The flexibility of our solutions however, mean that we have the agility to help retailers that are trying to cut costs as well as those that are in the process of rapid growth.”
The company, which recorded global profits of £2.4 million, a 240% increase year-on-year, is now focusing on growing its global profile. In addition to the US expansion, REPL has opened a Japan office to focus on the area of supply chain and manufacturing while growing business in the Far East.
REPL has experienced success in North America working with retailers, including a renowned athleisure giant who commented: “We brought REPL in as part of our Labor Evolution Project which has seen us move to a new way of managing our labor standards, forecasting and generating demand, planning labor and reporting.
“We are currently piloting the system in six of our stores and have already taken a large leap forward in our goal of maximizing connection with our guests. Additionally, our instore teams have begun to benefit from faster, more straightforward processes. Thanks to REPL’s expertise, passion and commitment we now have a system that really empowers our people.”
As a result of this financial growth, REPL is also investing in its technology and recently launched a new product called ADAPT, a piece of software that allows retailers to achieve a new level of forecasting and demand accuracy by using artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to create ‘what if’ models using newly applied branching techniques.
“A key contributor to achieving this high level of growth over the past year is our understanding of each retailer’s needs as they all have a very different set of challenges that they are trying to navigate”, added Callender. “We offer a unique solution tailored to their needs while remaining competitive in the marketplace. Over the past few years we have made a conscious effort to grow sustainably, rather than focusing on speed, this has allowed us to grow across different countries at the right speed for us and strategically plan ahead.”
