We are delighted to announce that REPL has won the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are awarded to UK businesses for outstanding achievements in four categories. Our success was announced after Prime Minister Theresa May recommended us as recipients of the award, a decision which was then approved by Her Majesty The Queen.
The accolade is the icing on the cake of a very exciting and successful year here at REPL, as late 2018 saw us increase our global presence with new offices opening in South Africa and Japan, as well as a new testing hub in Warwick, UK. With existing offices in the Henley-in-Arden, London, Leeds, Dallas and Singapore, this development has allowed us to enter new markets, including Canada, Germany and Australia, and become a truly global company.
REPL’s work with UK retailers has allowed us to take our retail expertise into the global market and take best of breed practices and adapt them to deliver real value to customers worldwide. To do this, we created teams on the ground in each region who were able to harness their expertise and knowledge within their local markets but also operate internationally to ensure knowledge is shared and customers receive the best advice.
Our overseas trading success, focus on global growth and aim to grow our international market to exceed UK market turnover within the next three years were key to our awards success. Two years ago, we set a five-year plan which included hitting £100m turnover by 2021/22; we have succeeded in achieving our targets for the past two years and are currently on track to deliver against the plan this year.
