test automation practice lead

We’re looking for a Test Automation Practice Lead to take the next step in their career and be at the forefront of delivery of all test automation work within REPL’s Global Test Practice. The focus of the role is on delivering outstanding test automation work for clients, leading and developing a highly skilled team and supporting the automation strategy. The ideal candidate for the role will have a wide variety of complex test automation project experience and expertise in a variety of automation frameworks, toolsets and approaches.

The role will be based at Warwick for 2/3 days a week, but you need to be able to travel to Europe frequently in the future.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support definition of automation test strategy for REPL group
  • Drive the delivery of all existing client test automation projects
  • Provide quality assurance for all client test automation
  • Develops test strategies and test approaches for new test automation work
  • Owns definition and implementation of process improvements that will accomplish team, department and business goals.
  • Drives innovation across test automation portfolio
  • Management of existing automation practice
  • Manage the development of existing test automation team
  • Drive cross-skilling and hiring of new test automation capability
  • Where required support BD new business development activities

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior experience as an Automation Test Lead / Manager
  • Competency across a wide variety of technical skills and programming languages
  • Understanding of Java and C# and the ability to challenge what good looks like
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Ability to organise and drive testing efforts and the ability to write a test approach/strategy
  • Wide variety of complex test automation project experiences
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Team management and people development
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions - Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and technical skills
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams, composed of System Integrator, third party software providers, suppliers and customers
  • Strong team player and collaborator
  • Experience of consulting or professional service projects/delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills

It would be ideal if you had:

  • Experiences of challenging agile delivery projects
  • Retail specific agile project delivery
  • Experience with Point of Sale and Back-office systems, preferably in a design or test capacity
  • International work experience
