Test Manager

The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for and lead all test activities across various projects. You will be responsible for the business processes as well as the functional and technical elements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and implement appropriate test approach(es) and plan(s) for conducting the project-specific test activities, respecting the overall programme test strategy, and considering the key success criteria of efficiency, transparency, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Review and feedback on test approach and plans created by the Test
  • Lead(s) for the workstream test deliverables and activities, respecting the dependencies on supplier and customer test plans and resourcing as required.
  • Implement appropriate test processes and plans across the testing lifecycle, covering preparation, execution and closure, and supporting monitoring and control
  • Understand and apply the environment strategy and plan for managing the test environments across all projects
  • Act as key point of contact for all test-related activities across the defined projects, coordinating across customer, integrator and third party resources.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality control and assurance for the test deliverables
  • Act as lead and mentor for all consultants involved in test activities for the defined projects
  • Driving test best practice across delivery and implement a continuous improvement framework

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior project experience as a Test Manager
  • ISTQB Foundation qualification
  • Familiar with common testing concepts, principles, approaches, tools and methods such as the SDLC and Agile methodology
  • Leading a team and working with defined planning and control processes
  • Strong communication skills with staff and customers at all levels, including listening and providing answers
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience of working with third party suppliers
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams, composed of System
  • Integrator, Supplier and customer
  • Familiar with systems development lifecycle
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
  • Experience with Point of Sale and Back-office systems
  • Awareness of Information Security ISO27001
  • Awareness of EU GDPR Data Protection 

It will be a bonus if you had:

  • An ISTQB Intermediate Qualification
  • Understanding of quality management processes, including assurance
  • Project management experience, preferably in a retail environment
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
  • Experience with Point of Sale and Back-office systems, preferably in a design or test capacity
  • International work experience
